Amir Hossein Zanjani
Amir Hossein Zanjani is one of a generation of Iranian Artist that were children during Iran`s eight year war with Iraq. Born in 1980, the year that Iraq invaded its Post-Revolutionary neighbor. His work engages with political and social themes. He has moved away from explicitly painting war (which his earlier work concentrated on) and become fascinated instead by the ‘features’ of totalitarian regimes. Semiotically speaking, through the process of painting he is working and playing with iconic signs and indexical signs. Amir Hossein Zanjani has had several solo and group exhibitions in Iran, Middle East and Europe and his art works keep in several private and public collections in Middle East and Europe.
